On July 18 and 19, Castello di Solfagnano in Umbria hosted the wedding of Vittoria “Vicky” Piria — Sky Sport Formula 1 presenter and racing driver — and Andrea Busnelli, entrepreneur and renowned designer leading Busnelli Contract, a benchmark in high-end design and furnishings.
An exclusive event conceived and executed by Giulia Barabani Weddings & Exclusive Events, and a story that also captured the attention of Vogue Italia, which chose to feature this extraordinary celebration, recognizing the value of a tailor-made design capable of blending charisma, energy, and refinement.
Wedding at Castello di Solfagnano: Mood, Vision & Vibes
Vittoria and Andrea’s wedding was conceived as a “wedding circuit,” a metaphor for their journey together: a vibrant and eclectic project blending Vicky’s vitality and charisma — shaped by the spotlight and the rhythm of the track — with Andrea’s precision and refined design sensibility, a key figure in the international interior and contract design scene. The vision was to transform the entire experience into an emotional journey: from the vibrant floral arrangements inspired by the energy of the Umbrian landscape, to the art déco and contemporary details that brought rhythm and character to every moment of the day.
A symphony of saturated colors — magenta, orange, purple, green, and yellow — animated the castle spaces, harmonizing with the grandeur of its architecture and the surrounding nature.
Every detail was curated with a couture-like approach: curved lines as a symbol of an infinite embrace, eclectic objects, and iconic wallpapers that transformed Castello di Solfagnano into a unique scenography, an emblem of elegance and contemporaneity.

A Tailor-Made Event Designed by Giulia Barabani, Wedding Planner
Set among the rolling Umbrian hills, Castello di Solfagnano hosted two days of celebrations.
The ceremony took place in the evocative “Cathedral of Love,” a tunnel of trees forming a natural vault, crowned by a monumental fountain. Here, timed to perfection (it couldn’t have been otherwise), accompanied by the sound of a grand piano and bathed in the soft, slanting light filtering through the foliage, Vittoria and Andrea exchanged their vows in a suspended, unforgettable atmosphere.

Both the banquet and the party were defined by an elegant, understated yet strongly distinctive approach. From the ceremony aisle to the seating tableau, all the way to the dinner setup, every element was meticulously designed to reflect the couple’s identity.
An authentic and surprising gastronomic journey unfolded: refined finger food, gourmet stations celebrating Umbrian excellence, signature cocktails (including the “Gingerina,” dedicated to the couple’s lively little dog), and a spectacular colorful millefoglie as the wedding cake.
The celebration continued late into the night with music, open bar, immersive lighting design, and an after-party featuring mini smash burgers.
After the wedding day, Vittoria and Andrea gifted themselves a day of sharing with their closest friends, beginning with a poolside brunch to relive the fresh memories of the day just passed, followed by a special evening at Umbria Jazz. The couple curated every detail to offer their guests the experience of one of the world’s most renowned music festivals, with the comfort of a private rooftop just steps away from the heart of the event.
